Bookmark the favorites..

Normally we create new dcr using teamsite GUI. Users have to login and then browse to their workarea and then to the category and data type. Then click on file->new data record.

Is it possible to bookmark on the link to create new data record.
Next time users will go to their favorites and click on the new data record link, which will take them through login (single sign on) and then present with the templating GUI.

alternatively, users will login to the teamsite and then should be able to use their favorites to directly jump to templating gui.

Is this possible?

This is same as your question about customized look and feel. The same solution will work here for access the newdcr with a fully qulified URL of TeamSite server.
http://tsserver/iw/webdesk/newdcr?area_path=/default/main...
Note that it will first look for the already set cookie and if not found, then it will prompt for login authentication. You could also have a CGI first let users set their username/workarea etc info as a cookie.
