Job initialisation validation in workflow modeler

Hi,
I am using workflow modeler 1.0.0.1 with Teamsite 6.7.1 SP1 on solaris enviournment.
In the workflow modeler 1.0.0.1 we have PreProcessor Command and PostProcessor Commands.So my concern is how to show error message to user before creating a job when the the validation fails.I have to check some basic validation before creating a job and if the validation fails then show error messge to user and stop.

For ex: The validation can be -

1)Check if the the dcr is already in the workflow or not.If it's in the workflow ,show error messge to user.

2) User has selected one or more dcr.

Please advice me.

You need to create a custom job instantiation screen and utilize FormAPI to perform the validations and messages to the user. See the WFM manual for more information.

Hi,
I have created the custom job instantiation screen and using FormAPI to perform the validations.But when i am using IWDatacapture.callServer method in it i am getting error.
In the workflow instantiation screen (generated from custom_instantiation.cfg), i am trying to call a ipl file using IWDatacapture.callServer and depending on the results i will do validation in the custom_instantiation.cfg file.But i am unable to use callServer as it's throwing error.Also i am unable to call a simple ipl file from custom_instantiation.cfg.

The Error i am getting is :-
Error :'fw_url_bean' is undefined

Please advice me.

It is nearly impossible to advise you without seeing the actual code and configuration being used.

The callServer method is not supported. I believe this is documented in the release notes.

What are you attempting to get out of this server call? May I suggest you use either the Datasource framework, or the pre and post process functionality.
