limit who can run a workflow

i have just started using workflow modeler and i want to know how to limit who can run or see the workflow in a share workarea. I am trying to give certain users the right to run a workflow in a share workeara
I am using workflow modeler 1.0.0 teamsite 6.7.1 sp3 in window 2003 sp1
