Where is iw-runtime.ear?
lowhm
Hi,
I refer to the LiveSite installation document for instruction to install the LiveSite runtime on a Weblogic server.
It mentioned that I need to install an application iw-runtime.ear to the Weblogic server and configure it accordingly for LiveSite runtime to work.
However, I cannot find the iw-runtime.ear in my LiveSite installation directory.
The installation program has installed the Tomcat webapp onto the machine but not the Weblogic version of LiveSite runtime which is said to be named as "iw-runtime.ear".
Can anyone who has installed LiveSite runtime on Weblogic please let me know where is the iw-runtime.ear or how did you manage to install it on the Weblogic server?
Thanks.
Han Ming

dude, what LS version?
in 2.2.1, there's a ls-home/enduser/runtime.zip with an ear file. We've installed it on Websphere 6.0. The documentation on that ear file is quite wrong (misnamed in the pdf), but if you're willing to experiment, I guess it can work for you

can you please elaborate what's wrong with the documentation? it would be good to this fixed if it's still incorrect.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I'm using SitePublisher 3.0.2
I have managed to find the iw-runtime.ear myself.
As for the documentation, not sure if there is any "real" problem.
But because I have installed SitePublisher 3.0.2, I am expecting the LiveSite runtime to be available in the 3.0.2 installation too as it prompted for the option to install runtime component when the TeamSite server is not detected on the machine.
However, it turns out that the iw-runtime.ear is only found on the LiveSite 3.0.0 SP1.
I'm new to SitePublisher and LiveSite, thus, it may be just that I am not familiar with it.
Thanks.

for LS3.0.2 iw-runtime.ear should be located under
/runtime folder. This file would appear only on the system where user chose to install "runtime".
