Latest Version of IWMIGRATE

We are migrating from teamsite 6.1 windows 2000 to teamsite 6.7.1 windows 2003. When I run iwmigrate command on 6.1 server to migrate one branch on 6.7.1 server it ask to get the latest version of iwmigrate from support website.

I searched for it on support website but couldnt find it.

Suggest me how can I get latest version of iwmigrate and install it on 6.1 server to run migration.

If you're migrating to 6.7.1, I believe you should be running the iwmigrate command from the 6.7.1 server ("pull" instead of "push")

I usually mount (or make) a copy of the old-server's store on the new server and set it up as a temporary second store and then do all the migrate's on one server.

Backup and then mount the old store (folder) on the new TS version installation and run the iwmigrate shipped with the new installation(in the bin). New server is capable of mounting the old version store and the new migrate when run on this store will convert the store format to the newer version which can be used there after.

I remember reading a KB saying not to trust iwmigrate in 6.7.1, and to use the one from TS 6.7.1 sp1.

mmm, ok, that was only for Linux-based TS (https://support.interwoven.com/kb/kb_show_article2.asp?ArticleID=58552)

Anyway, I would recommend reading through the support notes on iwmigrate, and perhaps presenting your plans to Support... just to be on the safe side with your data ;-)
