Is it possible to integrate Frontoffice with Outlook?

we have a requirement, where we want to enable the business users to send customized emails using Outlook.Mainly the emails needs to be HTML rich and template based so that the users can customize them as needed and send out emails to various groups/users.we are looking into possibility of having the email templates in Teamsite and somehow integrate it with Outlook to do this.
Dow anybody have ever done such things? any suggestions/case studies?....
