Submit entire content of the workarea to staging

Is there any method with which the entire content of the workarea can be submitted to staging in a workflow.

Right now with the current implementation of the WF that i have only the files attached to the task get submitted.

Simple question but complex answer. There is many, many options.

But why don't you simply browse to the root of the WA and click submit. That would do exactly what you describe.

A same recap: what you want is that a cms-user submits 1 file and that in the background the whole workarea is submitted and still not confuse the cms-user? Are you sure you want that?

Anyway, you could create an external-task, execute a perl script from it and that perl would then call iwsubmit to submit the workarea.

Yes iwsubmit is the command. You just need to provide some parameters along with the path..

Below is the option. Please read documentation on Command Line tools for more details.

iwsubmit [-h] [-v] [-s] [-w|-x] [-u] [-r] [-c global_comment]
[-i info_comment] {vpath file_comment}+

If the user is at the top of the workarea and clicks submit without any files selected - as mentioned, all modified files in the workarea will be submitted - and this is using a workflow.

The CLT manual (and someone's post) shows the usage of the iwsubmit CLT, which you could certainly call from within an externaltask (or similar) of your workflow - but as someone else pointed out - are you sure you want to do that if the user did select specific files?
