Hide a components

Hi,

I'm using LiveSite 3.0
Our customer want show/hide a components into a .page when they edit it.
Is there a way to implement some customization on the gui interface of Livesite?

what is the exact goal of hiding the component? so that someone cannot edit it, or is there something else you want to accomplish?

You can determine if the user is in edit mode or not - thus you could hide the contents of a component if that's what you're looking into...
