Error in LiveSite Page Preview

Hi,

I am working with Livesite 3.0.
I have created a site but when I am trying to view the Preview of any page I am getting an Error: HTTP Status 404 - /iw-preview/[sitename]/[pagename.page].
PFA the error page.

Any pointers in this regard will be appreciated.

Looks like a permission issue .What user/role are you logged in as ?
Did you create the site/page with the same user/role ?

Hello,

I am having the exact same problem with LiveSite 3.0 / TeamSite 6.7.1 SP1 on Solaris:

I can preview a static file, but i cannot preview a .page file by clicking on it in ContentCenter Pro - even a .page file i create myself just previous to trying to preview it. I get a Tomcat 404 error similar to what is described above.

I have checked my $IW-HOME/local/logs/iwui/servletd_out.log file but see no errors. In fact, other than the basic 404 message in $IW-HOME/local/logs/iwui/access.log, i can't find any trace of this error or it's cause in any log file.

I faced the same error in TS 6.7.1 SP1 , Livesite3.0.2 , Windows 2004,

In my case I was able to preview a .page file through EDIT->preview but not when I click the .page from the workarea

But after configuring SSI incude , (i.e) configuring the redirector module with iwproxy_isapi.dll and giving an iwreset -a solved the issue.

check to see if you have rewrite entries as follows:

those should've been injected during LS install.

OK, after investigation, the problem was being caused by some custom code (a self-referential deployment descriptor, i am told). This was causing a problem in the iwpreview subsystem, but it was only logged at system startup. I was looking for error messages at preview request time (tailing the logs) but nothing was shown because the preview system had kicked the bucket by then.

For those of you searching for a solution to this, like I did...
The servletd_out.log spits out the following:

org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanDefinitionStoreException: Error registering bean with name 'customer.rules.TeamServer.DefaultConfig' defined in ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/conf/livesite_customer/resources/customer-resource-config.xml]: Could not resolve parent bean definition 'rules.TeamServer.DefaultConfig'; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.NoSuchBeanDefinitionException: No bean named 'rules.TeamServer.DefaultConfig' is defined
Caused by: 
org.springframework.beans.factory.NoSuchBeanDefinitionException: No bean named 'rules.TeamServer.DefaultConfig' is defined

And


iw-home/local/config/lib/content_center/livesite_customer_src/etc/conf/livesite_customer/resources/customer-resource-config.xml

has the following entry:

if you comment out the <bean> reference it seems to work fine again after you run make_toolkit.ipl on that directory...

Now, you may ask why in the world iwov includes "examples" that will break your server...
