Error during deployment

We have deployment in which the user is deploying from workarea. The workarea contains a folder which has been deleted but is still in STAGING. This deployment is failing giving the following error:

ERROR:Failed to process src directory(./content/about/common/LPA)
Receiver ERROR:ERROR-Compare Failed.

The LPA directory has been deleted from Workarea and the srcpath starts from /iwmnt.
My question is: is there any way for OD to skip the deleted files/folders from WA and continue with the deployment? Will pointing the srcpath to /.iwmnt solve the problem? Is there any other way of achieving this?

What kind of deployment are you invoking?
What is your version of OD?
Can you post your OD conf file?

You can surely skip some of the files and directories.
Please read about filters in OD Deployment Cofiguration Guide..

I am running a deployment from workarea. In this file, CSS folder has been deleted in WA.

You deployment script and error shown do not match up. Is the dir in question inside 'sript' or 'css' from your log it seems like the dir is a different location. I would also get rid of your target rules.
