Bulk Uploader with various meta data tags

My client is interested in the MB Bulk Uploader functionality. However, they want to be able to upload assets in a bunch and tag each asset with a different value as it goes into MediaBin on the same screen.

As I understand it, if they were uploading the assets with the same metadata we'd be in good shape, this is what the MB Bulk Uploader function handles.

Unfortunately they are not. They may be uploading 50 images at a time, but each image would have a different value for the metadata as it gets entered into MB and they need to do this all in 1 shot.

Has anyone written a function for this scenario? Any tips on how to make this work? Best Practices?
