You can use Teamsite EA's as you like, but i don't think there is a readymade way of doing it.

You can extract EA for content into a txt file using getattributes.ipl and then deploy as a properties file.

I heard that with pre-6.7.1 versions, extended attributes could only be deployed to database. With 6.7.1, they can be deployed to filesyatem. Is that correct? Is this something that can be configured as part of the deployment?

First where did you hear that? Second, what system are you using for deploying EAs? Third, it was always possible .. Why do you think, it was not possible earlier?

Ah Yes, I am talking about the properties file only.. EAs are Teamsite specific they cannot be used outside of Teamsite as they are used within teamsite..

You can tweak things though using the Properties file

Hi ,

There was always an option of doing EA deployment to XML/database. I think it has nothing to do with TS 6.7.1 but it is a part of datadeploy.

you can see the datadeploy admin guide for more information, but i am sure there is something like .. deploy EA to XML.

I still think for deploying to property files, you have to write your code.
