Perldoc error - The Device is Not Ready

I get "The Device is not ready" error when attempting to run perldoc TeamSite: Smiley Very Happy

CRParser - any ideas on why I am getting this error?

Further information - I deleted the echo off statement in perldoc.bet the "Device is Not Ready" message occurs when the batch file attempts to execute "perl.exe -x -S perldoc" - what needs to hapen for perl to be able to execute successfully?

what OS ? What version of TS ? Are you certain you are using IWOV perldoc ? It sounds like perldoc is trying to read from a device (maybe CDROM) that is not there.

OS is Windows XP, TS is 6.7.1 and I am attempting the perldoc in the TeamSite folders under iw_perl that came with the 6.7.1 sp1 of Teamsite.....

Not sure why perl would be looking for a DVD or other device when running with the defaults......

mentions that there is a env variable called PERLDOC as well as PERL5LIB, PERLLIB and PATH

Do any of them (or any that mention PERL) list a drive that does not exist ?

Are you running the command within a Windows / DOS Command Prompt - or from within something like a Cygwin shell?
You should probably put the perldoc.bat script back the way it was originally - otherwise your pretty much SOL as far as support is concerned.

I'm running from a Windows DOS prompt - and I have it back the way it comes originally - I just removed the echo off statement to see what was going on when the batch file runs......

Does the doc specify which system variabiables need to be set and what they need to be set to? I don't see any PERL specific info set up on the server - could be the issue.....

I set PERLLIB in the environment variables and set it to point to the iw-perl\lib folder - no luck - will try setting to further down in the directlory structure.....
