I am trying to figure out how to change the end user timeout setting. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have reviewed my manuals and was unable to find any reference to it.

I guess it should be some dummy task which they are using to timeout or send an response to the enduser for a particular task enduser had to respond. Might be wrong too.

There are multiple timeouts in use. Login timeout (cookie life) is defined in the iw.cfg, there are timeouts available for workflow tasks defined in the workflow itself. Finally there is an apache timeout for custom menu items.

The time out setting I am looking for is when the user closes the web browser but does not log out of Teamsite and goes on with their other work. We want to decrease the amount of time they can go back into Teamiste without logging back in.

Thank you for the information. I just did a search on our manuals and was still unable to find anything. If it would not be too much trouble, could you provide a sample with the time code and let me know if it is in seconds or minutes?

Mine won't help much since I use infinite, but IIRC, you can make lifetime=0 and then when someone closes the browser they need to relogin. The default is 1 day.

I'm curious about these. The last time I see the ui_login_lifetime documented is in the TS 6.1.0 Administrators Guide (p. 30) and the most recent mention of the cookie_lifetime is covered in the TS 67x UICG manual (p 63) , but indicates that it is a setting specified in the application_custom.xml file, not the iw.cfg file.

Are you sure both of these settings still work? and in the format you indicate?

No clue. However I have not rebuilt my GUI and NEVER get asked for a password unless I remove cookies.
