Copy backing sotre to another server

I need to copy the production backing store (6.7.1) to another TeamSIte server (6.7.1 SP1)

do i still need to use iwmigrate or is there a quicker way?

Many of the files also have metadata attached to them - how do i copy it across?

Just tar the TS671 content store (extended attributes are part of content store)
Untar in to TS671SP1 content store path (will replace the existing content store)
Restart TS671SP1
You are done (need not to use iwmigrate)

You have to plan for user migration & workflows in the middle of the tasks.

You have to plan for user migration & workflows in the middle of the tasks.

When moving stores, you should NEVER copy one store on top of another. ALWAYS move aside the existing store first.

ok maybe i did not explain the issue properly

I have 2 different TS installations (6.7 and 6.7.1). I need to merge the 2 backing stores together so I was planning to move the 6.7 backing store on top of the 6.7.1

Is that possible? If not what is the best option or best approach to merge the 2 backing stores?

If the stores have distinct branches - then you can use iwmigrate to migrate the branches from the 6.7 store into the 6.7.1 store.

If the stores have duplicate branches - then you have to manually merge the surface layer of the 6.7 branches on to the 6.7.1 branch through the workarea.
