XML validation without SChema

I need to validate the XMLs for its well formedness in a directory without using XML schema. Kindly suggest me the idea, how to write a perl script for this.

If you use any reasonable Perl XML module - you should be able to easily verify well-formedness by trying to parse the XML. I suggest you look at the perldoc's for the various XML-related modules and/or search on search.cpan.org.
