Migrating DCR from 6.5SP2 to 6.7SP1 in Solaris

We are getting a new server setup with teamsite 6.7SP1 and creating the components and templates in 6.7SP1. The issue we have is how to migrate the 1000's of DCR created in 6.5SP2 to the .page format in 6.7SP1. Any help is very much appreciated. We had not used livesite in 6.5 and are planning to use livesite in 6.7 SP1

Write a perl script which calls OD clts...and write logic to it for any kind of manipulation you require for your DCRs...

In this case, how can I map the .pages to component created in livesite. In 6.5SP2, we have not used the components. We had used the traditional tpl way. In 6.7.1SP1, we have to create components for the same. So the requirement is for data migration from 6.5 to 6.7.1 from the traditional model to the component model.

I was thinking in terms of migrating your dcrs from one server to other.
So can you please explain your exact requirement so that we can come up with solution...

In 6.5SP2, we had created templates and presentation layer through which the DCR and the html pages were created by the content authors. Now the client wants to move to 6.7.1SP1, also he wants to have livesite. So we are going to create components and templates for the same. But the issue is we also need to migrate the contents created in 6.5SP2 such that the .page files are created with the components and templates provided. Is the migration possible.

Firstly migrate all the DCR to the respective branch into the new server ( using OD or Manually cpoying and applying the EA as applicable).

Then create a LiveSite component that reads data from the DCR and corresponding LiveSite template. then you can generate required .page.

There is no direct way of converting a TS DCR to a LiveSite .page.
