new installation questions

ttriemst

Hi all,

I was hoping that someone could help point me in the right direction for getting the Web Client installed and working properly. We recently purchased MediaBin, version 4.6.1, as well as a new Windows server for it to run on. I have installed the core MediaBin application on the server and I am able to connect to it via the Media Bin client. All the functionality seems to be in place and I don't have any issues. Now, I am trying to get the web client installed and working properly. I installed on the necessary applications (.NET 2.0, and Web Service Enhancements 1.0 SP1). I have confirmed the IIS is installed and working properly. I have followed the instructions for the installation of "MediaBin Web Client", and did not have any errors.

When I try to get to the MediaBin login page, the dreaded "page cannot be found" message comes up. I have verified that the application is registered in IIS, the virtual directory is pointing to the correct location, and I am running out of ideas.

Does anyone know if there is anything else that needs to be done in order to access MediaBin via a web browser?

Any help would be great. Thanks

Ensure that the IWAM and IUSER account have access to the MediaBin Web Client folder in the file system.

Thanks all,

Based on the suggestion from Srinivas, I went back and worked with the Windows administrator. I found out that we did not have the correct version of ASP.NET (or something like that) installed. Once he reconfigured it, everything works great.
