I got a request to allow developers (only for a few) to access their files via the Y drive (TS 6.7.1 SP1 Windows server 2003)... Is there any way that anyone can think of to have the file lock when not going thru the ccPro , and without explicit checkout.. I was thinking like as soon as they modify the file, it "auto-locks" it..if it were via a trigger, I would need to know if the user was coming in via the mapped drive or via the GUI (since I dont want to effect the ccPro functionality).. so I am starting to think it's just not a realistic to implement.it also seems that when you access via the mapped drive, it ignores locks anyway.. so even if it were locked.. it still might not be possible..anyone have any thoughts/suggestions?
