open Deploy simulation to check connectivity of Web, Application and DataBase Servers

Actually I want to, just check whether the server is ready for actual deployment or not by firing some command. Is there any way to achieve this in Interwoven Teamsite installed on Unix based platform. Is opendeploy command like "/app/iw-home/opendeploy/OpenDeployNG/bin/iwodstart ", if executed from unix command prompt a better way or is there any other good alternative to it. Because i tried this command but it takes much more time, i wanted to reduce my time.

What i need, is that i made an *.ipl file and in that file i have given the openDeploy simulation command 3 times for 3 servers, but it only completes openDeploy for one server and then hangs up while openDeploying the other servers. Even i have placed the second server in this *.ipl file first, then also same thing happens.

I am struck up very badly, can anyone please help me out.I using openDeploy for the first time. I needed urgent help, i will be thankful enough.

Make a copy of the test.xml file that comes with OpenDeploy and configure it to communicate with your remote servers - either as a static farm of all the servers or a single-node farm which uses a parameter to identify the node - and then run that from your script using the '-sim' flag on the command line for iwodcmd start.
