Integrate MetaTagger with next generation taggerUI

TS 6.7.1 SP1 Patch 1, Win 2K3, MT4.1.2

Are there any issues linking MetaTagger to the next generation TaggerUI? It links fine with the old datacapture.cfg but not the new one (not even the "suggest" button shows up.

Did the integration work before the patch? I mean at TS 6.7.1 SP1. If so raise a support issue.

After reading the documentation a little more, it appears that I'm missing a meta mapping file such as the example in the documentation /iw-home/local/config/tagui/metataggerMappings/MT_Rule

I've tried implementing my metataggerMapping file but still no luck. I'll dig a little harder and confirm my configuration with my MT project names, value="summidx_en" etc..

Hope to report back soon with success.

No support ticket as yet... just verifying that local configuration/project name etc.. is correct.

If you are using new rulesets you have to specify your field to mt item mapping.

Add: tagEngineConfig="metatagger://defaultRuleConfig.cfg" to your item (abc.keywords) and add that config under the metataggerMappings dir.

Thanks Miroperez, that helped me quite a bit. I was able to get the TaggerGUI to connect with the next generation MetaTagger to suggest keywords. My main problem was that I thought I had to enter the MetaTagger project name as an item parameter... like the following...

Then I tried to implement a browse-only taxonomy using the examples from the documentation but no go...

Do I have to add tagEngineConfig="metatagger://MT_Rulefile"> to my taggerGui item for browse-only taxonomies also? When I do, I get the following error.

Yes, the metatagger:// is required for any rulesets in the ruleset60 dir. Do not use it if you are using exisitng rulesets which will be merged and converted for you at load time.
