Error in Deployment

I am trying to deploy from one folder to the other in the same server. The code(testdeploy) was running fine before and i was able to deploy also,but (now with same code) its showing error and am not able to deploy but ,as before now also ,it executes the batch file which i am calling in the dnr script.only problem is coming in deploying...
The log shows the following error:-

***ERROR - Job ID=m8Deployment=testdeploy
Base: Exceeded all 3 retries to get a connection with the target OpenDeploy host.
Failed creating socket.

and
***ERROR - I/O error with [C:\TeamSite\OpenDeployNG\log\src.testdeploy.MYDEFINITIONNAME.punitp54710d.to.mylocalhost.log.mf]: File not found

Check your target machine (hostname is correct) and it is up and running. If both base and receiver are on the same machine. (Then restart the OD service and try the test deployment). Make sure your OD service is up and running

Even the target log(rcv.test.MYDEFINITIONNAME.PUNITPSEZ120849D.to.MyLocalHost.log)is not coming in the log file of the OD only the src log is coming

Make sure your hostname is correct. For example if the machine name "abc"

In odnodes.xml, you should have:

host="abc"
port="20014"
/>

[/html]

and in the test.xml you will have:

[html]

[/html]

ping that machine, make sure the hostname is correct.

First of all, the above is an incorrect statement - as Base Server and Receiver servers for OpenDeploy cannot be installed on the same server - instead the Base Server may be used to perform a loop-back deployment to itself (such as with the OOTB

test.xml

deployment configuration).

Secondly - you provide the smallest snippet of information without providing the log files - which quite frankly, you should be looking carefully at. The error message indicates that the Base Server attempted to connect to some target server (usually a Receiver, but potentially [another] Base Server) and failed. In such a case, it is very unlikely that you're dealing with a loop-back deployment because the server you'd be connecting to would be the one that is running, and you'd get a different error message if it weren't running. Though I suppose you might have it configured for a different port in the odbase.xml and odnodes.xml which might cause issues - or you might be relying on DNS / hostname resolution which might be configured differently on the Base Server than you assumed.

However, all the above is conjecture from our view point because we don't have the details of the log files - which you should be able to examine and decipher without our help, but if you need our help, you need to provide that information.

I suggest try restarting the services in the following order:

1. Teamsite(if it is on the same server and you are using it's area for deployment)
2. Base/Receiver Server
3. Administration Server
4. SNMP service

If this doesn't help, make the services automatic and restart the server.
If the target server is different, make sure the receiver service is running.
