Hi am getting this error while previewing -

org.xml.sax.SAXParseException:The namespace name declared for prefix "ns1" may not be empty. Message being parsed:

Any help on this would be really appriciated ..

Note: Errors are poping up after the livesite was upgraded, they work fine with older version.

Previewing what?
(1) Component, post component code
(2) page, find the component causing error, and paste code.

As you said this is a SAX Exception, can you find out where this ns1 namespace is declared and why is it defined empty? Since you haven't provided any versions the error might be because of a library upgrade.

Hi snkmoorthy,

thanks for the reply, here is the complete background ...

Background: we had LS 2 + version in solaris 8, now we migrated it to LS 3+ in solaris 10, so after migration this issue crops up in existing component which is running fine in old enviornment.

namespace "ns1: is declared well in appearance xsl, its when i preview the component, it throws that SAX exception error.

please check the attachment for complete background with code extract.

Any help will be greatly appriciated.

Check your code. It seems there is a tag missing for the Datum. OR Try validating this code using XMLSpy or something.

Hi,

its just a code extract, i know its not a complete code, but in my system the code is fine syntactically that i can assure is good .... i dont know what need to be changed in LS3 Vs LS2 (since its running fine in this version).
