upgrading TeamSite 6.5 to 6.7.1
DonMelik
Hey,
We are upgrading from teamsite 6.5 to 6.7.1. I copied my iwstore, iwhome, iwinstall from the dev. server. The installation went well however it initially prompted me with a message that a previous installation was detected. I clicked next and eveything seem to go smoothly.
I was begining to second guess myself, however after reading the following post, I realize that I have followed the steps accurately. My plan was very similar to the following one. I have done the installation. Afterward, I ran iwstat, and iwaccessmigrate. When I ran iwaccessmigrate, I recieved several error messages.
After running iwstat, I recieved comand prompt letting me know that the stores are running. Yet, I am not able to connect to the teamsite login page online. I have been recieving this message from my internet browser:
message /iw-cc/command/iw.ui
description The requested resource (/iw-cc/command/iw.ui) is not available.
All of the services have started and seem to be running fine.
Could this issue have something to do with the workflow(because along with the stores, it says the workflow is running).
The last message of my trace logs says:
[Mon Jun 16 14:33:21 2008] Utility Daemon Enabled
[Mon Jun 16 14:33:21 2008] Log Permissions Disabled
[Mon Jun 16 14:33:48 2008]
*** IWServer Locale is --> English_UnitedStates.MS1252@Binary
[Mon Jun 16 14:34:11 2008]
*** IWServer Locale is --> English_UnitedStates.MS1252@Binary
If anyone has any idea of what could be preventing me from connecting to the teamsite, I would appreciate your feedback.

Hi Jeremy,
I asked one of our Technical Support Engineers to provide a little more feedback on your planned steps. Some of the additional steps below may not be necessary, but it is better to be careful and thorough. Please let me know if you'd like any additional information.
Detailed steps:
Run command /etc/init.d/iw.server stop_all to stop teamsite
Backup iw-home & iwinstall & iw-store folders and any other customization
Stop the customer webserver (if you have any)
Make sure same TS 6.5 SP3 license works for TS 6.7.1 SP1
Run the TS 6.7.1 BASE installer script as root
Reboot the box
Stop search (/etc/init.d/iw.tssearch stop, /etc/init.d/iw.tsindex stop)
install search 2.1.0
Install TS6.7.1 SP1 and then reboot the system
Reboot the box
Install Patch # 2 of on top of TS 6.7.1 SP1
Install search 2.1.0 SP1
Migrate roles
a) run ‘iwstat’ to ensure all stores are active
c) /appl/iwov/iw-home/bin/iwaccessmigrate –m
**generate the accessresults.xml file without completing the migration
d)Review the results file to verify desired outcome
c)/appl/iwov/iw-home/bin/iwaccessmigrate –n
**The –n will inform TeamSite to not generate new TeamSite Groups
Note: Migration cannot be undone after it has been performed. Therefore, if you think
that you might need to revert to a pre-6.7 TeamSite release, you should back up all of your Content Stores, TeamSite roles files, and TeamSite configuration files and store them in a location that is not affected by the migration.
********* At this point customer has to run the “fatdir” script which will determine if they need to run “iwmigrate” or not*******
Backing store migration (if needed)
1. Reduce the cachesite=5000 in iw.cfg file
2. No need to freeze backing store
3. Run the iwmigrate script
Note: iwmigrate has to be run as “root” & do not bring down the TS Server while running the iwmigrate
Example:
./iwmigrate -m /iwmnt/default -o /appl/iwmnt/iw-store/default -b /default/main –g >migration_log.txt 2>&1
./iwmigrate -c -g -o >pipe it to a file
4. Copy over workflow folder from source backing store to destination store
5. Configure TS to use new backing store in iw.cfg
6. Restart TS and Test

The post by Heather did not seem to have asked you for copying your iw-home directory. Anyways, your issue seems to be with the web daemon. Is the web daemon service running..
Also, please post your iwtrace.log

The teamsite is running, however I haven't been able to connect to the content center as of yet. In addition, I am holding off to wait to check my logs before running iwaccessmigrate. Any suggestion on what could be causing the delay with the content center? In addition, I have just noticed that all of the services have started except for iwproxy.

What OS ?
Can you exec iwproxy from the commandline (in debug mode). Issues like this are usually pretty easy to solve. Proxy server is pretty robust and only a few things can effect it.
What port is it to be running on ? Usually 1080 & 1081 is anything running on either of those ?

Windows server 2003 is the OS
and the proxy that its being run on is 1080.

run it from the DOS shell, read page 178 of the 6.7 Windows admin guide

I appreciate the reply. I'll check that out.

Please check your TS.lic as well and also ensure if you have run iwuidmap since the role handling in TS 6.5 is different from 6.7.1. If not follow support KB articles to run iwuidmap.

Guys, I've just upgraded from 6.5 to 6.7.1. I have resolved all of my previous issues. However my TeamSite login page has still not come up as of yet. In addition, all of the interwoven or iw services are running. Also after running the iwstat command, I am prompted with the information that the store is running. Yep, I have checked my iw.cfg file, and its running on the default ports.
However, I have not modified or created a new autoprivate.cfg file or submit cfg file at this time. Also, when I ran iwaccessmigrate, it notified me with an error that it was already run.
Any suggestions on what could be causing my content management center(teamsite) login page to not come up. I recieved this error message in my browser:
HTTP Status 404 - /iw-cc/command/iw.ui
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
type Status report
message /iw-cc/command/iw.ui
description The requested resource (/iw-cc/command/iw.ui) is not available.

Have you seen this error before: discovered the error logs:
[Mon Jun 30 14:26:11 2008] [warn] RSA server certificate CommonName (CN) `teamsite.interwoven.com' does NOT match server name!?
