Teamsite Accessible outside Firewall ?

Hi Guys,

Is it possible to access Teamsite from outside Organization's Firewall.

Can we bind Teamsite with a hostname through some ISP (Internet Service Provider) ?

I think if this is possible then we can access TS just like the other hosted sites we use , isn't it ?

For any Web/App/Teamsite Server to be accessible over the Internet ;
you'll have to be on a WAN IP or either in a DMZ accessible over the Internet.

And you'll have to have the Public DNS Entries configured (FQDN) else the teamsite server will have to be accessed through its WAN IP .

Raise a ticket with your IT Folks and get the approvals Smiley Happy

BUT:
1. Teamsite is not really designed for this from a security point of view. E.g you might be at risk of being hacked.
2. Do you require external access to your Y: or /iwmnt drive via samba/smb/nfs? This requires opening up other ports as well. More complexity and security risks.

AFAIK, Interwoven is following Apache's security bugs and updates software. The only port that you need open is port 80, but as you've mentioned unless you require SMB/NFS
