I have an tpl where i read an xml file and do some modifications with that xml file, I have an requirement in such a way that if i select an wrong xml file it should not print the system generated error message "Preview and Generate error" but rather it should print " ERROR: Invalid file selected"

i have tried by implementing some perl code ,but in vain its printing the message and even its painting the page.

To do this, you 1st need an all perl template, i.e, set a perl variable with all the HTML that you need to render and then iw_output it after the data has been accumulated.

Then you need to generate an HTML page that shows the error you desire and display that.

ONE BIG CAVEAT - this solution will overwrite the file being generated. So you MUST do this only when the file is being previewed and never when the generate button is pressed, otherwise you will overwrite your content with the error message. That would be bad.
