Solution for 3rd party data feed - into teamsite

Does anybody have an idea for a Solution for 3rd party data feed - into teamsite (like RSS feeds), which will update meta data and content from the feeds into teamsite.

I am looking for ...how TeamSite Support Data feed. What kind of format...how we can modify style of that content...How we can import metadata of that content

The solution is 'perl' (or 'java' or 'ruby' or...)

What I mean is you need custom code for this.
