Disable customized menu item in staging area

Hi

I want to add a new menu item in the content center (ts6.5, ls.2.2). For that i had made entries into the ui_custom.xml file and after that I run make toolkit. That all is working fine.
In content center there are some menu items which are enabled in WORKAREA but they are disabled in STAGING area so I want a functionality like that. I am able to hide customized menu option on Role basis but not on WORKAREA/STAGING basis.
Please help me in this.

I don't believe there is any supported way to do this in TS6.5 - nor do I think you can do it in 6.7x either.

Generally, you can make sure that the custom menu script checks its environment to figure out if it was run from something other than a workarea - and if so, display a "nice" error message - that's about all you can do I believe.
