Unable to create groups with certain characters using the IManAdmin DLL

Hi folks,

I wonder if anybody has come across the above before. I'm writing a tool to synchronise a number of our AD Groups with Virtual Groups in Worksite, using the IManAdmin COM DLL, and code similar to the following:

// Get a handle to the specified database
NRTDatabase db = GetDatabase(databaseName);

// Create the new group in the Database
NRTGroup group = db.CreateGroup("Test Group Name");

// Set the Description of the group
group.FullName = "Test Group Description";

// and force the group to update
group.Update();

However, it appears that the CreateGroup method of the NRTGroup object throws the following COM Exception whenever certain characters are passed (e.g. & or [space]):

Exception from HRESULT: 0x800423FF

The strange thing is that I can create groups with these characters in the names using the Database Admin tool!

We are on Worksite v8.2.

Any help would be much appreciated - thanks in advance,

This was a known issue but fixed in 8.2 SP1.

This does not happen with the manual operation, via the DBAdmin Program because the program does not use the IManAdmin.dll API's to perform the same operations.
