Internationalization and DD

All,
I have chinese characters stored in my DCR (UTF-8 enabled in the DCT), but the DD deploys ???? to the DB. I see ???? in the DD logs so maybe something must be set in DD to recognize these. My DD config file also has UTF-8 set on the first line. Is there any other setting that's needed? DB is also UTF-8 enabled.

Is this Traditional chinese or Simplied Chinese?

UTF-8 encoding may not work for Chinese characters. Probably need to use the correct encoding.

For example - Japanese needs Shift_JIS char set to get deployments working

and ISO-8859-1 for French & German characters.

We are deploying UTF-8 encoded dcrs with French, Spanish, English, Korean, German, and we are just about to deploy Chinese. We only use one encoding that is UTF-8 in our DCRs to Oracle database with UTF-8 encoding. I would verify that the DB is actually Utf-8 or a close related format for your database.
