thruput monitoring

How do you check thruput ?
what do you use with "iwstat" command ? I mean iwstat -a ? It is something else. Can anyone pls remind ?

As per the PDF, thruput should be 200 to 1000. In reality is this the range we sh'd be looking for ?

If thruput is not in this range what actions should I take ?
