Question around OD's Log File Management Functionality
talker_ys
Scanned over a portion of the documentation which explained the behavior/expectation...please disreguard, thanks!
Greetings:
Looking to someone to either corroborate or refute the claims made in the OpenDeploy documentation regarding its log file management functionality.
The documentation suggests that OpenDeploy manages the archiving of its log files which can be specified to a number ranging from 1 to 9999, default being 9999. This is supported by a parameter called "maxBackupIndex" within the "logRule" element. One can presume since the default is 9999 that at no point should there be more than 9999 OpenDeploy log files archived. Unfortunately, I have observed over 90K OpenDeploy log files archived in both base and receiver.
Has this been validated to actually works?
Here....for base, receiver and deployment specific configs, maxBackupIndex was not defined, inheriting the default value. We are running W2K, TS 671 and OD 611.
Regards,
-Yama
