TeamSite Restrict Access issue

Hi all,

We are trying to create a new Branch under /default/main using teamsite GUI.
from an INITIAL edition.

When ever we create a new branch the "Restrict access" is automatically selected and when i uncheck the box and save, it does not clear the flag. The Private flag is set back again.

Can any knows how can i get around this?

I am working on T.S 6.7.1 SP1
I have checked the IW.cfg and the Branch security and workarea security is all set to off

"Inherit from parent" is on by default not sure if this can be turned off on /default/main branch .I don't have access to a box now but can you quickly check What is the behavior for a branch (br2) created a few levels below /default/main/ Eg. /default/main/br1/

This is resolved.

In iw.cfg, i have set

Branch security = on
workarea security = on
BranchPermission = 775
workareapermission =775

Earlier, the Branch and workarea permission were set as 774 , and when this is set as 774 , teamsite automatically checks the restrict option.
