Strategies for implementing a site in Teamsite

Hi Friends,

I have a web site which is mostly developed in asp and some pages are html as well. I want to implement this site on Interwoven Teamsite. Can any one tell me the process of implementing this dynamic site on teamsite?? What is the best way to take it forward??

Because i am on solaris platform, I would also like to know how to generate and preview the asp pages through Teamsite.

I will really appreciate your help.

Hire TS Architect. Seriously. An idea that few sentences of free advise (from somebody who knows absolutely nothing about your Project) can get
you started is absurd. It's a project with all ramifications of such like Business Requirements, Planning, Scoping, Budgeting, Resources availability and
allocation and the like.

At the minimum, you will have to set and Configure IIS Virtualization Server to render your ASPs. You will do that in addition to or instead of
the Virtualization Web Server (iwwebd, default port 81) that you already (should?) have on your TS Host. Take a look at this and this Articles,
they may be useful. As for the rest - see my first answer.

I believe you meant the "customer web server" which runs on port 81 and is not iwwebd (which runs on port 80) - but might be a separate Apache instance - yes?

Can we configure IIS on Solaris??? I think we can't, then which external web server i have to install & configure that can render the asp pages?

IIS (Internet Information Server) is a group of Internet servers for various Microsoft's Windows Server operating systems.

You can not normally run it on Solaris. There are always some "Virtual Machine" paradigm implementations on the market that
*can* make it possible. You may want to check VMWare white papers and the like. Better you than me though, in your case it is
IMO much more practical to buy Intel + Windows Box and Configure IIS there.

When done you would have to spend some time configuring TS iwproxy Server and (possibly) reverse Proxy Plug-In for SunOne or
Apache or whatever you use.

Alternatively, you can try to find products that can enable your Solaris Web Server to render ASPs. I recall seeing some articles to that effect.
I'm sure you'll find plenty on the other side of Google search
