I am seeking suggestions regarding dynamic display of CMS managed content.Context -Architecture – The project uses Interwoven Teamsite as the CMS. For static display of content, the content has been added in text areas in various DCR files. At places, this content also has some numbers which are like facts and figures about the website. E.g. The network offers nearly 180 connections to 96 destinations in 12 countries.Requirement – Everytime these figures are updated, we currently open the relevant DCRs and make manual updates. The website is currently available in 15 different languages, which means that for every small update to these figures, change in one DCR has to be replicated at 15 places. We plan to change the implementation in a way such that the text area remains as such (this is because there would still be other static content), but a Perl module can be used to pick up data for these figures. This module will read information from a config file/ database, so that for future updates, we will need to update only at one place and regenerate all relevant DCR files. I understand that for select boxes/ drop downs, we use Perl modules which pull out database data and populate the entire DCT element dynamically (select box). But since for this requirement, we need to add some static data to the text boxes like before and get some dynamic data, hence I believe that a complete change of DCT element (text area) properties will not help either. The requirement is thus to have a text box look like below – The network offers nearly 180(this should be populated dynamically) connections to 96 (this should be populated dynamically) destinations in 12 (this should be populated dynamically) countries.Has anyone had a similar kind of architecture and requirement? If yes, how was it achieved?
