Workflow not initiating

Hi,

We are working on TS 6.7.1 SP1 and none of our workflow is getting initiated. Every WFT is giving the same error as below:

Invalid Workflow:
no element found at line 1
ERROR:00001: Failure in operation

Any suggestion / pointers are all welcome.

Sounds like someone mucked with the WFT code and either embedded some odd characters or deleted some necessary ones.

Do your wfts have any dependencies, such as a perl module, that might have gotten lost during the upgrade process? Are you getting any useful output in iwjoberrors.log?

Could you please tell me how you resolved this problem, as i am also getting the same error on initating any workflow. Even the default submit workflow is not working and giving error:

Invalid Workflow:
no element found at line 1
ERROR:00001: Failure in operation

Nothing is comming in the iwjoberrors.log.

Check "iwevents.log", if nothing is there then Do the list of WFT are coming when you try to submit a file to WorkFlow ?.

If the List is coming then take a look at following tag in your wft

I am also using WFT on TS 6.7.1 SP1 and they are working fine.

What about default WFT they are initiating or not ?

Is this a WFT or a WFM? In WFTs this is usually a case of a poorly formatted WFT such that that the XML header is not being found where it is supposed to be. If that is insufficient to help you debug the problem on your own, you would need to attach your WFT (not a manually transcribed copy - but the actual WFT) for others to look at.

Check your avaliable_templates.cfg .Do the "path" attribute of element "template_file" has the correct path or check weather at the concerned path WFT are present or not.I am placing my WFT files at

C:\iw-home\local\config\wft\solutions.

Do you have the same location.

You didn't say before that none of the workflows, including the OOTB ones, were working.
You might have to remove and have the system re-create the workflow store (just a guess - information about doing this has been posted before, hopefully you can find it by searching the forums)

If you're sure that the WFTs are fine and the OOTB WFTs are un-touched/un-modified, and the available_templates.cfg file is fine - then there isn't a heck of a lot that any of us can do as we're not there and we can't debug it.

The next step would be to contact IWOV Support - and work with them on trying to resolve the problem.

Hi Anjani,

We encountered similar problem for a client, when there was an error in available_templates.cfg.

This error could also be related to space issue.

1. Check whether enough space available in the disk.
2. Rotate Teamsite logs if the size is more.
