multistore vs. load content in 552 implementation
gsumers22texas
Assuming a "fresh" implementation on 5.5.2, not involving an upgrade from previous versions
Assuming you want to use multiple stores (at least one) right away-
I've got a question as to using the new Multi-Store function in TS 5.5.2 and how it relates to the "Load Content" step in Installing TeamSite of the Admin manual
Before going through the process of Loading Content detailed on page 58 of the 552 Solaris admin manual (creating a branch, workareas, etc), one does already have to have at least one of their "alternate" (alternate to the /default store) stores created, (detailed on page 235 of the same manual) correct? or should have it created at least, to avoid copying WA's, staging, editions, etc to the new store that would be required if it's done after the fact instead?
am I interpreting this dependency correctly?
fyi, I do realize that the TeamSite admin manual, in terms of the actual tasks involved in implementing TeamSite, has never claimed to present it's information in the best sequential or logical order for that purpose
many thanks in advance for all responses

I believe your interpretation is correct - basically in order to load contant into a new store - you have to have created *and* made active that new store (iwstoreadm)

Also, be aware that every additional backing store in excess of the "default/main" backing store is an additional $50,000 license cost!
I was excited to have intranet, internet, extranet, you-name-it backing stores, but at 50K a pop, I'm going to have to rethink our needs for multiple backing stores versus our ability to scrape together 50K.

very good to know, I wasn't aware of this level of licensing
