DataDeploy does not works

Hi All,

We recently upgraded to TS 6.7.1 . on windows 2003. We are using the Old OD 6.0. The instalation was done on the same box.

OD is working fine, we are able to push file to webserver. But our DD is not working and we are not getting any error also.

Please check the attached log files

You need to do some changes on the config files:

File name: deploy.cfg
File Path: /iwov/OpenDeployNG/etc/
Alteration: teamsite.version: 6.7.1

Apart from that, you also need to upgrade your OD. Both of the suggestions are from my past upgradation experience.

Hi,

I upgraded the OD and put the new license with DD enabled.

But still the DD fails, I get the below error in Log file

Hi,

Sorted the issue by enabling the below

databaseDeployment daemon_port="MYDATABASEDEPLOYPORT"
standalone enabled="yes"

But still the DD is not working. and what do we have to put for MYDATABASEDEPLOYPORT, it is something that is fixed or we have to put any port number.

We rae using the below command to invoke the DD.

iwodcmd.exe start BFW_site_category -inst 100003 -k iwdd=BFW_site_category -k iwhome=I:\iw-home -k area=/default/main/intranet/BIP/GCandE/en/admin/WORKAREA/workInProgress -k path=templatedata/templates_gcande/site_category/data/cmstest -k database=Onebp_Baseframework

The same is getting completed without any error

Did you restart the OD Base Server service after making the change to the deploy.cfg (this is a full stop / start - not serverreset)?

are all the tables getting updated when you do a DD? If this is your first time setting up DD, please delete the Tables generated in db and try DD again. Please post your results.

Hi,

None of the tables are getting updated. We has TS 6.1 and OD 6.0 on the same machine. We un-installed it and did a fresh install of TS 6.7.1 Sp1 with OD 6.2 on windows 2003 server.

The Tables that are there contains Data, which I don't think we would be able to delete.

But as i am using iwodcmd start, and not the old deployment clt iwodstart this should not be a probelm.

I think the problem could be there in your OD script file. Check in your previous versions, if you are using any external tuple processor (java classes) where you get your value-from-field as.

Make sure the DD identifies the tuples in the specified config. path.

To do a quick check whether DD is working. Copy C:\Interwoven\OpenDeployNG\examples\conf-dd\tutorial\conf\ddconfig.xml to OD-HOME\conf directory. Make sure database entries are correct and run this sample DD deployment. It should create tables in the db.
