As per PDF, we can create maximum 8 content stores. iw-store is created by dafault, do you give custom names to other stores ? content is stored in

Yes, content store, backing store, and archive directory are essentially synonymous. iw-store is a root directory, iw-store/default is a backing store ("default" is an archive directory)

What the PDF might not say (since I don't know what PDF you're looking at) - is that additional stores require additional licensing fees ($$'s) - unless they are truly temporary / transient (as in "I need to use a secondary store today, but that store will be removed tomorrow")

You can provide whatever names you want to the stores - but I recommend using simple names (do not include white-space, all lower-case is generally easier)

If you utilize settings in iw.cfg you can specify different root directories besides the iw-store root directory so that you can place different stores on different disk partitions and such.
