Generate DCT(form) and DCRs from external xml file

Hi,

I am new to teamsite development. I have following requirement. I need to use an externally generated XML file as an input to generate a Data capture template so that user can preview the form and edit it before generating DCR.

Could someone let me know if this is possible using forms publisher, and let me know how to go about this?

Any suggestion will be of great help.

I'm also new but the one thing I've found that was invaluable was the DTD to DCT tool (iwdtd2dct.ipl). We are using MODS for our publication data and I was able to feed it the MODS DTD and, with a bit of tweaking, it created a very usable DCT. There's lots more that we have left to do so I can't offer any other help but hopefully, this is a more useful response than the previous one.
