When one pastes "good" code, TeamSite fixes some things, but breaks others.
In this example <-hr /> and " /><-/p>

I put in the extra '-'.

1) Open a templated file.
2) Paste the good code into the "First Column" field.

3) Click on Visual Format.... button.
4) Click on the View Source <> button in the upper right of the screen.
5) This "fixes" problems with unquoted image attributes (Adds quotes around
width=363 height=274 )
6) Breaks other tags. The [space]/> is changed to >
a) <-hr /> is converted to <-hr>
b) " /><-/p> is converted to "><-/p>


Is there a way to set the 'View Source' from converting the tags?

For forum posting - just wrap the text in [html]...[/html] tags and you don't have to insert the '-' to keep the forum from processing the tags.

With respect to your question - have you configured VFE to clean things for XHTML compliance? If not - I suggest you search through the VFE manual for the term "xhtml" and see if that fixes your problem.
