TeamSite File Capacity

My client is currently thinking about using TeamSite (latest version) along w/ Metatagger (latest version) for the purpose of tagging content and publishing it to a portal using OpenDeploy. Now the content will be coming from 3rd party servers/applications. What is planned to use an Aqualogic Server that contains a harvester that will go out and gather news feeds (the content being published to portal) and then send it to Metatagger and from there to TeamSite. The harvester will be query for content every 30 minutes which means it may or may not get new content every thirty minutes. I need to know if Teamsite is potentially capable of handling this amount of content. Keeping in mind that the content will consist of links to other sites and while others will be text only. We do plan to purge/archive every 30 days. I hope I've explained this well, if not please tell me to clarify where there is a disconnect. Thank you in advance

Is the only reason you're considering using TeamSite is to utilize TeamSite extended attributes / metadata with MetaTagger?
TeamSite is, at it's root, a web content version management system - if you're planning to dump everything after 30 days - you're not really utilizing the core functionality of the product - so it sounds a bit like using a 50 lb. sledge hammer to put a screw in the wall ... it might work, but the end results are rarely what was actually desired.

Well the users will also be creating content that must go through a workflow before being published to the web. Also depending on some of the extended attributes of the news feeds, it may have to go through some sort of approval/review process.

Okay - so you have a base need / use for TeamSite and want to incorporate a feed and utilize MetaTagger to assist with setting properties on the feed, etc. - okay - that sounds a bit more reasonable.

I haven't had to deal with this kind of scenario for quite some time - so I don't know if you are missing any information or approaching any gotchas - sorry.
