Submit not deleting from STAGING

We have Teamsite 6.7.1 SP1 on SUn Soalris 10.

Some how few branches we are not able to delete and submit folders. When we delete a folder it shows a red cross on that and when we try to submit that folder it brings up a window saying "Resolve conflicts" under conflict type : No conflict.' and the two options " Retry Submit" and "overwrite all"' and no mater what u press the folder remains with a red cross.

Any help will be much appriciated.

I think you should check is there any file in this folder locked by some other user or not then unlock the files and delete the folder by submiting of delete all files first in the folder and then delete the folder.

I want to add one more thing sometimes you can't able to submit deleted folders in staging because deleted folders contain the lock files so if u don't get successfull to submit deleted folders by running get latest,unlock the files ,delete the files and submit the folder then you have to contact support center and get the iwstalelocks utility which will help you to delete the folder.

Are you sure, there are no such file in that folder which was locked or modified by any other user except the owner of the folder?

To verify the locked files .. i did went to the view > list locked files plus i did tried iwlistlock utility and it wouldnt show any locked files. And the most wiered part is if i go to staging area of this branch and i say list all + deleted files i can see folders with red cross in staging area itself.

i will try iwstalelocks utility as mentioned by artor.

Kaalra: about the locked files i mentioned above and about the owner i am having master role in teamsite so i think i should be able to remove the folders created by other users or not ?

Yes, this looks like the famous stalelocks-bug.

But Iwov engineering mentions that it should be solved in 671Sp1: bug 57130 in the 671sp1 rn's.

Interesting, please let us know if these are really stalelocks in ts671sp1.

Fresh installation or upgrade?

If an upgrade - or a fresh installation with an un-iwmigrat'ed backing store - the stale locks could be historical and you should contact support to get the utility for fixing them.

If a fresh installation with a fresh backing store - you should open a case with support to get the problem tracked.

It's a fresh install. No Backingstore was moved. No historical stuff Smiley Happy
