Anonymous Vs. Published Editions

An edition can be published or anonymous. A published edition has a name you specify and is visible by default. An anonymous edition has an autogenerated name and is meant to be hidden.

Does anyone know if there are any advantages/disadvantages over using the auto-generated anonymous edition over a published edition?

Auto-generated anonymous editions are created every time you perform a submit operation.

The advantage in using named editions is that you can access them as such and use them for things like iwmigrate and so on.

In general, I don't think you should try to use the auto-generated editions for too much
