There is no *native* markup for image captions in HTML. So you are probably going to ultimately generate some fairly customised
HTML Block from your PT with Table and/or CSS elements, correct?

"Picture Property" Widget is an integral part of VFE X-Control, there is to the best of my knowledge no supported way to
customise it. Perhaps the simplest (if seriously sloppy) way to do what you want is to use "Picture Property" attribute
"Title". That maps to img "alt" attribute, you may use some pre-determined delimiter(s) to separate an alternative text
from the desired caption. Your PT then would split this up and build Captioning.

Alternatively, you can come up with your own Image Browsing Servlet or CGI with any GUI you wish. Take a look at Ektron®
eWebEditPro Developer’s Reference Guide to see how to do that although I have to admit that I've seen better API Documentation
than this one.
