Revising an asset with a different file format

Hi,

We need to revise tiff images in MediaBin with psd versions of the same images. What would be the best recommended way to do it?

The approach we are thinking of using is:
1. Read file name of psd asset
2. Identify container where tiff version of asset is located
3. Rename existing file from .tiff to .psd
4. Revise file in MB with psd asset

If anybody knows whether this would work, or has other suggestions, please let me know

That should work. The only possible source of confusion is that the filename is not versioned and so if you had occasion to retrieve the older version it would be a tiff file named .psd.
