Teamsite Upgrade

Hi All,

We are planning to upgrade Teamsite and other server's also.So kindly please can some one let me know the the teamsite 6.7.1 will support this new environment.

Present Environment
-------------------
1.Teamsite 6.1
2.Dotnet Framework 1.1
3.Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2003 Professional Edition
4.Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition
5.IIS 6.0 and above

New Environment
------------------
1.Teamsite 6.7.1
2.Dotnet Framework 3.5 (Free Download from Google)
3.Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2008 Professional Edition
4.Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition
5.IIS 7.0 and above

3.Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2008 Professional Edition - No relations found in my memory, but should be fine
4.Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition - No relations found in my memory, but should be fine..
5.IIS 7.0 and above - Never tried... I belive its not supported yet.

Which OS are you going to use?

Also consult Interwoven Support.. They are generally aware of issues with newer software packages as yours.. You are rocking on technology :-)

IIS 7.0 is not supported.

From Supported platform manual:

Web servers: IIS (5.0 for Windows 2000 and 6.0 for Windows 2003)

What do you use IIS7 for? I suppose this is for preview?

In that case I always find it kind of strange to say that 'IIS7 is not supported'. All IIS does, if used for preview, is serve up files from the iw-mount. How can that not be supported?

I feel that Iwov just don't want to bother yet with IIS7 but I'm sure it will simply work.

Except, I should add, if you use iis-plugins for SSI or if you want to virtualise asp.net pages.

Indeed there are things i have experienced which were/are supported by Interwoven, however the only point is that IIS 7.0 is not "Officially" supported.

Hope you understand as what makes the word in quotes. Smiley Happy

Or if you use MS X-Controls created for older IE Versions like VFE or Visual Annotate.
Or if you use certain Java Applets, both IWOV (Import, Local Files) and your own.
Or if you use exotics like MS XML Island somewhere in your code.

"Not supported" simply means that IWOV did not certify this Platform as supported yet.
Will it work? In most cases - probably, with everything - probably not.
