1.) Can anybody tell me what is the recommendations for creating editions in Teamsite. For example if I have a 1 GB of content in my workarea and run a workflow that create a edition in the backend so this way everytime it will generates the editions for every change and 1 GB space continues to consume everytime. Is this a good way to do?

Editions are fixed references to specific versions of files - they are not storage containers of all the versions of the files - so the fact that you have 1 Gb of content in your workarea may translate to something "like" 1 Gb of content in an edition, the second edition's "size" would be the size of the files that differ between the two editions.

The use of double-quotes above is intentional in that those terms are figurative not literal.

Basically the number of editions you generate should be based on your organization's need to be able to restore from a previous editions.
