Do we need to restore the entire repository in order to recover the deleted assets?
iwTech
Hi
If some user accidentally deletes an asset or a group of assets from MediaBin and the retention time
(scheduled deleted item clean up - MB Enterprise Manger ) has passed,
do we need to restore the entire repository in order to recover the deleted assets?
Thanks in Advance
-Vin

Probably support can help you with this but you would have to restore MBDataDirectory and also the SQL Server to as close as possible.

Well it somewhat depends on how much information you have about the old assets. For example, if you were pretty certain as to their exact size, you could restore your ImageDB back-up to a temporary disk and then find MediaBin's copy of the files..rename them to something sensible and reingest...
In any case, if I were you, I would probably see about whether it would be possible to set up a temporary second MB to restore to rather than disrupting the production server...
Cheers,
