How to specify script file to workflow deploy task???

How do I tell a workflow which opendeploy script I wan to run from a "Deploy Task"? A deploy task requires an "odDeploymentName" variable to validate - but this value isn't even mentioned in the Workflow User's Guide (?!?!).

And what is meant by DeploymentName? is that a path to the file or something else? if my script is in /conf/abc/def/myodscript.xml how do I get that to run in a workflow?

I think so you have to specify the script name which run the deployment.

you will need to write a script which in turn calls the iwodcmd clt.. together with your deployment name...

Use the wft_opendeploy.ipl instead.. Much better.. You can find details of how to configure the same in your workflow guide..

I'm using the latest workflow modeler. I drop a deploy task on the workflow and I'm trying to call a specific deploy - which doesn't seem to be getting called. I figure one of the properties of the deploy task must be the script I want to run - however odDeploymentName doesn't seem to do it.

Can you please explain HOW you got it to work? I am starting off with WFM and it seems a bit cumbersome. Can someone please post an example of their IPM file with a DeployTask and corresponding entries in the wft_opendeploy files, both xml and ipl?

And also, what is DeployURLExternalTask? And if this is the default class, then why is it not the Default URl in Deploy Task.

I am on TS 6.7.2, Windows, WFM 1.0.1.0
